Got this note from the fosterer of our babies:
Your girls have set off on the first leg of their trip to you! They should arrive in Benicia Wednesday and be at the adoption fair in Sunnyvale on the 19th. Please let me know when they have arrived safely with you.
I can't wait! The Serene One and I think Plague and Pestilence would be great names. Probably not great for PR reasons though.
VisionaryM told me I have a strange fascination with rodents. I'm not alone. The Dapper Rat had a little post about a short movie called "Rat Ribbons." I found it on YouTube. It was great!
The film covers rat shows held across Australia. Most are just like cat or dog shows: rats are rated on markings, conformity to specific points, temperment, etc. There was one show in Tazmania that was all for fun. There were prizes for heaviest rat, lightest rat and for most number of peas eaten in 30 seconds

I thought it was strange for a bit, this rat obsession. Then I remembered scaling. And scaling a pet to your size really does mean that it can't bully you around like a cat or a pug ;-)
