I'm in week three of my new job. On Monday, I was walking down the hall at work and found something that I lost two years ago: the bounce in my walk. Where has it been hiding? I didn't even know I was missing it.
Today was potluck day. The woman who sent out the organizing email wrote: "We all like good food. No chips." The group rallied. It was a fabulous spread. There was food cascading off the conference room table. Potstickers, spaghetti, lasagna, sweet and sour pork, chicken wings, four types of fried rice, etc., etc. There was also a plate of shrimp cocktails frozen in one block. There was a slight miscalculation in thawing time.
I made a Kahlua chocolate cake last night at 9pm. A last minute run to the store last night yielded only some of the correct ingredients. I only managed to get chocolate pudding, not chocolate fudge pudding. The cake also collapsed a little during baking, so I was worried. The Serene One offered to taste it to make sure it was okay. I told him that an intact cake would travel better.
As lunch today wound to an end, I cut a slice for myself to see how it turned out. It was okay. Wasn't as good as usual. However, two of my co-workers tried it and liked it. I left for a meeting. I got back to my desk. There was an empty cake pan sitting on it.

Yum, now I'm hungry!
I'm glad the new job is working out well. :)
With an empty cake pan, it will add more bounce to your walk.
I am glad that you are happy. I like the colour of your blog.
Rub it in why don't you.
Sorry Mo :)
