The Serene One and I are a little old school. We really like reading the good ole physical newspaper. I prefer it much more than on-line news. The only exception is during the Olympics, where I check the ice skating results before they air on TV in the evening.
Today, the SJ Merc had an article on Nabaztag. It's a little wireless electronic rabbit (what is it about me and rodents?) that can read the news to you out loud from your favorite website, and indicate the weather forecast through a series of colored dots on its belly. Best of all, the bunny can communicate by twirling its ears!
My immediate thought: I can check the traffic as I'm running out the door! The voices they have are a little creepy. I think I would just use the dots and the ears.
Being me, I'm wondering if there are any security or privacy issues. The Serene One teased me, "What's going to happen? Someone's going to take over your bunny?"

So cute!
What do the ears convey?
Also check out this Ambient Orb.
rabbits are not rodents
Lady M: I think you can customize the ear signal. They can twirl if you got an IM, etc. Just imagine if you hooked it up to signal incoming work emails. You'd have a fan
Mazurka: Yes! I saw this when it came out. I really wanted to try it out too.
Horace: I'm so traumatized. I had no idea! If Wikipedia is to be believed, rabbits were considered rodents until 1912! Now they're classified with pikas. So cute!
