Today's post is an excerpt from "Under The Tuscan Sun." If you haven't seen the movie, soak in the spoken lines as they are. Be warned, there are some spoilers.
If you have seen the movie, hopefully you'll remember that Diane Lane's character bought a house in Tuscany while recovering from a painful divorce. She confides to a friend early in the film: "I want a wedding in this house and I want a family in this house."
The rest of the movie shows her going through a lot of romantic gyrations that ultimately fall through. But at the end of the story, she gets what she wished for. Not quite in the way that she had envisioned but she still finds happiness.
