Dancing With The Stars - Week 2

Okay, week two wasn't as painful as week one. I'm a fan of the show, but five hours in one week is way too much of any show, let alone Dancing With The Stars.

Toni Braxton looks fabulous, her figure and that outfit last night were hot! Not too much content in the choreography. Derek Hough did a decent job choregraphing the Paso Doble for Brooke, and it was respectably executed. I didn't like the music choice. Jenkins' Palladio Suite (the music from the"A diamond is forever" commercials) was dramatic but not really dancing music. Kinda like dancing to the old CBS nightly news theme song.

Lance Bass is being sabotaged right out of the competition by own partner/choreographer Lacey Schwimmer. It was fun to see one (or even two), alternative takes on ballroom, but it's getting old. Show us you can do it old-school. Still, clever song choice.

Maksim is really stepping up the competition with his choreography for Misty May! I loved their side by side steps. Len is right though, Misty gets into her competitive zone and completely forgets about Maks. That look on her face is the same one she wears on the court with Kerri Walsh.

Warren Sapp was really good last night, though the double long trench coats were awkward. Too much pleather. Liked the choreography though. Loved it when Warren cracked a smile partway through.

I think every guy out there was dying to take Cody Linley's place as he rumbaed with Julianne last night. Not sure if votes for that couple are for him or for her. By now, she must have her own following from past seasons on DWTS and also her singing career. He's fun to watch, but has a coltish, awkward look about him.

Misty May and Cody Linley should have a nice ramp in abilities over the next few weeks. Looking forward to seeing their progress. I think it's between Cloris and Rocco for the elimination.

I missed week 1 as I was busy with SYTYCD so here it is in twitter form: Ted got robbed. He should have stayed. Loved Mark Ballas' Pink Panther choreography.
