Autograph Hound by Proxy

PT surprised me with a signed copy of Lois McMaster Bujold's latest book, "The Sharing Knife: Passage." This is the same awesome friend who acquired an autograph for me last time our beloved author was in town.


She was going to ask Bujold to write a little note commemorating Serene Jr.'s arrival, but settled for a simple "To Fourth Breakfast" salutation. PT was near the end of the autograph line
and Bujold's hand was shaking from fatigue. PT said that Bujold did not stint with any fan. People showed up with suitcases of books and she signed all of them. PT also got to join Bujold for dinner as well!!

Most authors are introverts (though Meg Cabot may be an exception). It must be tough to go from months of quiet writing to speaking and signing autographs for throngs of fans.
