I sprung $9 on a square teacup and saucer. I'll have to get a photo on the blog for you.
We accompanied a section of the family to the cinema for "Happy Feet."
Non Sequitur: The screenwriters should be shot. It was the worst script ever. Plus, the penguins weren't even cute. I can forgive a lot of there is a high level of cuteness.
In all, there were eleven tickets to be bought. Since we were there first, we bought the lot and handed them out. Aunt L arrived next with the eight-year-old triplets in tow. Uncle T was busy parking the car. The place was packed.
L: "Why don't you and the Serene One take the kids in to get seats and I'll wait out here for T"
Me: "Ha, ha, ha. Nice try. We'll be happy to wait out here for T"
L (jokingly): "Darn, we were going to sneak into Casino Royale and leave the kids with you guys."
At least, I think she was joking.

Glad you had a good time in SLO!
Turns out that going to SLO would have been an easier trip than St. Louis. While the actual travel was no problem, everyone came down sick with food poisoning like symptoms :-( Sort of a turn for the worse when you're half a continent away from home! On the plus side, seeing my Dad was great :-)
