Countdown to Nanowrimo

It is now a month away from the beginning of National Novel Writing Month, or Nanowrimo. I participated last year, but unlike superhuman H and E, did not complete the requisite 50,000 words.

I'm trying to talk VisionaryM into joining me this year. I figure I'll get an outline going this month so I can hit the ground running in November. An outline is not necessary, of course. The goal of this exercise is to write. Write anything.

"The key is to lower your expectations "from 'best-seller' to 'would not make someone vomit,' " is advice from one of the nanowrimo founders in a book called "No Plot? No Problem!" Haven't read the book, but that sentence alone is probably worth the price of purchase.

Ah, notice, the rats are now heavy enough to push down the keys when they walk across the keyboard! Will that count towards 50,000 words?

Ah Cupcake and Oreo.
They can do the "Heavy Heavy Shake" (famous Beatles song-probably by Ringo Starr).

I think that I'm too overloaded for NaNoWriMo this time, but I'm really looking forward to reading your novel!

You could have the rats enter the "prove you are a human" text that blogger requires for comments. :)
