Elementary and Hohenzollern Bridge

Elementary is my new favorite TV show.   I love the banter between Holmes and Watson.  Plus, Lucy Liu's wardrobe is fab.  In the second episode, you see Holmes sitting by a trunk full of locks.  He picks one open and then throws it into the box behind him. During a conversation with Watson, he makes his way through several more locks.

In last week's episode, all the locks were up on these grids:

It made me think of Hohenzollern Bridge in Germany.  ljc first introduced me to the bridge through her blog

"Love padlocks are a custom by which padlocks are affixed to a fence, gate, bridge or similar public fixture by sweethearts to symbolize their everlasting love. These are some of the more than 40000 locks on a fence across the 410m long Hohenzollern Bridge that crosses the Rhine in Cologne. The locks are placed there since 2008 - the keys are thrown into the Rhine after the lock is closed." Photo and quote from Frank Kehren.

We love that show too, and I did notice the wall of locks on the last episode - thought it was cool!
