The Serene One was dutifully reading his "Expectant Father" book the other day and found an interesting factoid about the fetus at 4 months.
The Serene One: The fetus can react to light and dark--if you shine a strong light on your partner's abdomen, the baby will turn away.
Me: Cool!!!! Let's try it! I wonder if I can feel the baby move away from the light?
TSO: We are not going to design experiments for the baby.
This, of course, made me think of the episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer when Xander gets accidentally split into two versions of himself. Riley's response was: "Psychologically, this is fascinating, doesn't it make everyone wanna lock them in separate rooms and do experiments on them? [everyone stares] ...Just me then."
I'm restraining myself for now. But it's just so darn tempting.

The Engineering part of the brain kicks in sometimes Ha. I've stopped taking new electronic gadgets I bought apart quite a while back.
