The Serene: No! No naming our kids after celebrities
Me: Well, don't try suggesting Salma to me later.
That's right! We're expecting an addition to the family in the spring. And no, it's not a rat.

Congrats! My hubby joked around about all the boy names from the teen shows like Dawson, Brandon, Dylan...

Ah, so many cring-worthy choices.
IMO,go with a strong historical name that will give your child confidence - not the shame of having a name that only gay frenchmen and black-athletes have.
E.g. William - The Conqueror; Shatner; etc.
Or, chose the name of a wealthly grandparent who's likely to be flattered and provide copious gifts and inheritances.
e.g. William - my grandfather in law
