Touring the Bay Area

I had lunch today with a few ladies I met at a seminar last week. One of them, J, just relocated here from Georgia. We discussed things for her family to do. We covered good places to eat and moved on to historical places of interest. Or so I thought.

"Have you been to Stanford?"

"Yes. We spent half a day there. Saw the engineering buildings and other stuff. It was nice!"

"No, no. I mean Stanford. The mall."

"There's a mall?"

The rest of us gasped in horror. We wasted no time in filling her in on the joys of the Stanford Shopping Mall, with its shops and endlessly toiling gardeners. Forget the shopping, I love going just to look at the flowers!

I love that mall too. My girlfriends from work and I have been making lunch trips to Bloomies on a fairly regular basis!
