After a few unsuccessful attempts to post comments on "converted" blogger sites, I decided to move to beta blogger as well.
The move (so far) seems uneventful. I was excited by the promise of the "drag and drop" templates. I started to upgrade my template, but discovered that I couldn't drag the sidebar to the right.
I attended the BlogHer Conference this summer, and one of the things they covered was how to make your blog accessible to all kinds of people. Use contrasting colors, no miniscule type, etc.
Some vision impaired people use a computer to read material out loud on the web. If you have your sidebar on the left, the machine has to read through your sidebar before getting to your posts.
I doubt anyone is using a mechanized reader to get through my blog, but this is one of those ADA type things. If you're building a brand new building, for Pete's sake, make sure the hallway is wide enough for a wheelchair. Retrofitting later is a bear.
So, I'm officially converted, but I'm standing by my old template. Besides, the new one got rid of the pretty cursive font.

Good point about the side bar on the left.
When I copy something from some Web page, the unwanted stuff on the left side bar appears first, and I have to delete them.
