Little Free Library

I read about Little Free Libraries in the newspaper recently so I tracked down the nearest one and went to check it out. Premise: Motivated private citizens build tiny libraries and stuff it with books for the community to borrow. Everyone pitches in books. I love it! Especially because our library is not within walking distance and this could serve as a community "water cooler."

That is a terrific concept! I had always wondered if something like this model would work at airports... passengers who could trade paperbacks to read them during their flights and then drop them off for the next passenger...

Anyway what a cool thing to have in NorCal! The closest thing I can think of that we down here in LA are coffeeshops that have community library shelves.

PS - hope you're doing great. I guess we are both missing BlogHer this year?

Hi Chris,
That airport idea is great, because most people read the same "level" of stuff while traveling. I did actually make it to BlogHer this year! Sorry to miss you.
